Something special today for the readers of Perfume Shrine in celebration for the national fragrance day tomorrow and the official start of spring. So if you're game, please leave a comment with scent-related thoughts about spring in the comment section. Anything goes! Bonus points for new Twitter followers who gain two slots for the draw!
This giveaway wouldn't be possible without the kind sponsorship by 99perfume.com [link is unaffiliated] who are offering a full 3.4oz eau de parfum bottle of Burberry Brit for women to a lucky winner. The draw is open to readers in the continental USA at this time, since the company is offering free shipping to those addresses only. [I'm sorry if this inconveniences international readers but it is beyond my control.]
Draw is open until Thursday midnight and winner will be announced on Friday.
Burberry Brit for women opens with fresh notes of lime, frosted pear and white almond. The heart blooms with white peony. The drydown is very gourmand with vanilla, amber, mahogany and balsamic Tonka bean accords.
Good luck!!
And don't forget to check again later today for the announcement of the winners of the Tauer draw!

in spring, this perfume-lover's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of florals! i find that i reach for floral scents more during spring than at any other time of year, which seems reasonable. warm and balmy or spicy orientals carry me through autumn and winter; i often choose different, more floral orientals in summer, or crisp herby green scents; but for spring, give me florals in all their glory...
ReplyDeleteI am getting in the mood for spring by buying fragrances that I love to wear for the season. There are so many fruity and floral fragrances I love that are perfect for this time of year. Spring is a good time to start a nice collection too.

In the Spring I prefer light, airy scents. Nothing too heavy..
ReplyDeleteIm a new Twitter follower- @brentoncherie
ReplyDeleteLovely draw, thanks! My spring thoughts are that I want some new florals. My collection is very dark and brooding - and I love it - but there are gaps to be filled by some pretty jasmine or orange blossom. The search begins for florals with staying power that aren't tuberose.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite scent of spring is fresh hyacinths. Glorious! When I was in Paris eight years ago, I spied a couple of huge urns of them flanking the entrance to Pere Lachaise. I told my husband and son to both take huge sniffs of the hyacinths so that from then on, the smell would always take them back to this moment in Pere Lachaise. They both indulged me -- but I don't know whether they do have that scent memory the way I do.

I love the smell of spring flowers - narcissus, hyacinth, and I love to smell the earth again.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the draw! As a woody fragrance-obsessed person, I am searching for a spring and summer appropriate woody or woody-ish fragrance, and I am leaning towards L'Air du Desert Morocain, but I am also in search of a Jasmine that has a lot of green-leanings, which may help with my need for earthiness in my fragrances, even in the heat!
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of spring air when the snow is melting and crocuses are blooming. Thanks for the draw!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new twitter follower @ccdouglass.
Living in northern Ohio, I am more than ready for some spring weather and for switching out my seasonal fragrances. I've always liked this fragrance and would be so excited to win this generous prize. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteFor me, Spring is when I wear Jo Malone's English Pear and Freesia. I feel free and light.
ReplyDeleteFor spring I usually lean more towards fresh pretty fragrances. I've going back and forth between my bottles of Giorgio Armani IDOLE d'ARMANI and Marc Jacobs Oh Lola. Great Giveaway! Good Luck Everyone!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to welcome Spring, but not from the fragrance point of view. I love fragrances associated with winter, so the light springtime florals are not particularly my taste. Nevertheless, Burberry Brit was my favorite for a very long time, so the giveaway is terrific. Thank you
ReplyDeleteI just want sakura blossoms falling all over in Spring. Flowers and more flowers, soft warm breeze, light scarf on my neck, my husband walking next to me under a sakura path while I get soft whiffs of my beloved Frangipani by OJ
ReplyDeleteI love spring, and my scents change with the season, I liek to wear more floral and light citrus smells that make me think of spring dresses and blossoms :)

It's been cold and snowy here, so I'm still on my winter perfumes. But I can't wait to break out my spring bottles. I want to start with my vintage bottle of L'Air du Temps, then move to Calandre, then to Arpege. How's theat for an aldehyde festival? Please include me in the draw, thanks.
ReplyDeleteSpringtime means florals! There's still snow in my neck of the woods, though, so I'm sticking to lolita lempicka for the moment.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
In spring I love to wear florals like Neroli and Violet!
ReplyDeleteSpring is the season I find the hardest to match perfumes to. Tauer Carillon Pour un Ange (lily of the valley) and Lutens Bois de Violette are my favorites for the season.
ReplyDeleteIn the Spring my light floral scents come out of hibernation. Thanks for the draw.
ReplyDeleteIn springtime I love Diorissimo, Chanel #19 Poudre, anything orange blossomy or lemony. I just received a sample of Fragonard's Muguet, but I'm saving it for MAy 1st...may ask for it for my birthday on May 4th. I have Burberry Woman, and like that for Fall/Winter. Would love to try this Burberry. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWith spring comes the wonderful scent from blooming hyacinths, lilies, tulips, and irises.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a very edible potion!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for spring as the weather will have a different effect on my perfumes. Also excited about trying on perfumes that had been put away for winter.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting a bottle of Burberry Brit for awhile now . I put it on my wish list one year and ended up with Brit Sheer (very nice but not quite the same..)
ReplyDeleteThanks for having this draw!
I love the flowers in spring!
ReplyDeletethank you!
