Weekend Expectations
Bittersweet strawberry, marshmallow, butterscotch
Polar bear, cashew, dixieland, phosphate, chocolate
Lime, tutti frutti, special raspberry, leave it to me
Three grace, scotch lassie, cherry smash, lemon freeze
I wanna go to Marz
Where green rivers flow
And your sweet sixteen is waiting for you after the show
I wanna go to Marz
You'll meet the Gold Dust Twins tonight
You'll get your heart's desire, I will meet you under the lights
Golden champagne, juicy grapefruit, lucky Monday
High-school football, hot fudge, buffalo, tulip sundae
Almond caramel frappé, pineapple, root beer
Black and white, Big apple, Henry Ford, sweet heart, maple tear
I wanna go to Marz
Where green rivers flow
And your sweet sixteen is waiting for you after the show
I wanna go to Marz
You'll meet the Gold Dust Twins tonight
You'll get your heart's desire, I will meet you under the lights...

This weekend is Superbowl Sunday. i know nothing about the superbowl, but I will have to watch a bit to keep up conversations at work on Monday:)
ReplyDeletei have lots of new L'artisans to play with-the body oils are divine. I also bought Fou d'Absinthe in body lotion. Not sure how masculine it is supposed to be-why would they make a body milk for a men's fragrance? I don't know too many men who would moisturize.
I am going to re read your excellant new article about fruity fragrances. It's packed with information-thank you for interesting read.
It's freezing here, with bright hard cold northern light. What is it like where you are? Warm, i bet!
Hope you are well,
Sincerely,
Carole
Hi Elena.
ReplyDeleteAfter a very difficult week in office and a sudden farewell that made me really sad yesterday, I woke-up early this morning and looking at the bright sun I promised to myself to leave my sorrow behind me and make a new start. The "revitalization" program included coffee and a great walk in the park, checking the new arrivals of tango shoes and of course vintage-perfume hunt (which works on me more effectively than three multi-vitamine tablets together). Ivoire de Balmain EdT is the valuable prize for today and regardless of the ridiculously low price, its green fresh soapy smell it's so uplifting that after six hours still makes me feel lighter.
I wish you a nice and cozy weekend, full of joy and fun.
PS. I was wondering if the term "perfumetherapy" is acceptable. What do you say?
By the way, the song, full of colours, smells and flavors, makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
So poetic this song. Now I have to watch the movie.

Carole,
ReplyDeletesounds like the perfect plan!
I hear marvelous feedback on the dry oils by L'Artisan but rarely come across them; should remedy that one of these days.
Sending you a ray of sunshine, we 're having 16C here and it feels like early spring (I even saw the first caterpillars of the season under the pine trees yesterday!)
SO,
ReplyDeletefirst of all, very sorry about the sad occurrences of this week. Hope that things get better somehow.
But congrats on the great find and the bargain! It's fun how perfume lifts the mood, isn't it? Such a small touch and yet.
Perfumetherapy sounds totally legit to me! :-D
SO,
ReplyDeleteand thanks for commenting on the song. That's why I included it. It's one of my favs; such a sad melody too (especially if one has watched the movie as well)
Gina,
ReplyDeleteplease do, it's rather heart-breaking but satisfying all the same. Very real, very tender.
Isn't this a great song? :-)
One of my favorite songs!
ReplyDeleteWell Elena, its 60F here so I'm off to have walk my dogs. Liked the verses. Enjoy your weekend;you give so much joy to others.
