What is it about the Gucci display at the shops that that makes me take a wide detour?
ReplyDeleteNow, I have to seek out Guilty for a sample. I serious expect to be bludgeoned, but that's called prejudice. Or experience.
More celebrity stuff? I feel about all that the way I feel about the reality TV shows that everyone talks about. Again, avoid like the plague.
Carrying my elitist snobism high today. Everything sounds so blunt instrument: Bang, Bombshell, Guilty. Only Series Three intrigues me.
.....yawn...does that make me a perfume snob as well? After reading that, I feel like I walked into the wrong conference room.
ReplyDeleteI know, I'm opinionated!
Who are these people? What a dull, dull list. Marketing has nothing do to with appreciating perfume, I guess!
ReplyDeleteNance,
ReplyDeletewelcome! (love your cinematic and literary taste, how great to find an O'Brien fan)
I can't blame you. The rate the industry is going it's a bit difficult to get excited about most things; there's just so much product to move...
Come to think of it, though, Bang might be actually something to carry its own reverse elitism: it's very very similar to Hermes exclusive boutique scent Poivre Samarkande (I did a comparison on these pages). Of course, it followed the predecessor.
Hope you like it here enough to visit back!
Stelma,
ReplyDeletesometimes I feel like we're a little continent of our own.
The industry needs to pat itself on the back I should imagine.
Hello S!! Welcome!
ReplyDeleteWell, like I said above to Stelma, I think the industry needs to pat itself on the back a bit. :/
Then again there is the realisation that in order to move on one has to make something popular (that goes for noses, designers, art directors and companies as well)
