Basenotes member HDS1963 previewed it thus: "a very elegant and distinguished spice-topped fragrance which contains the heady lightness of previous offerings such as Castile and Douro, but with a rich-come-dirty spiciness to it lent by what smelled like a light cumin-sweetened by cardamom to it."

I love the new Penhaligon's perfumes. I'll give this one a try, even though lavender is a warning sign for me.

ReplyDeleteif lavender is not your style, then a fougere doesn't have much chances of winning you, but of course, one never knows until they try. Right?
Thanks for stopping by!
P's Douro is one of the most distinctive cologne i've ever tried. If this one carries part of its inspiration, I gotta try this.
ReplyDeleteHowever, aldehydes...? And the two notes in top, "Ozonic Effect" and "Metallic Effect"? That reminds me of CdG's Odeur series. Maybe this IS aiming at Odeur's target audience? Then that's new to me. lol
Hmm... this one sounds right up my street. M Duchaufour's creations for Penhaligon's are rapidly turning the firm into a force to be reckoned with.
