The bottle of Shalimar Parfum Initial is a jewel, and thus should be accompanied by jewels. The choice of pearls is not random at all, as the sheen of the vanilla powdery ambience of the scented liquid is gloriously feminine with that touch of elegance we dedicate to those beautiful globules. The classic of classics and a scent redolent of women's emancipation, the eminable Tabac Blond (incidentally not a tobacco scent). You can find the fragrance review for Caron Tabac Blond here. The bottle is testament to the fact that I have exceedingly enjoyed the eau de perfume version, which is as good as possible.

An Exceptional Perfume Bottle from Serge Lutens

The Christmas limited editions by Serge Lutens are always gorgeous and precious in every sense of the word: hand engraved on glass, beautiful and evocative designs and truly expensive (logical, if you think there are only a handful of bottles produced in the first place).
This year Serge Lutens presents La Fille de Berlin, a composition based on rose, which takes on dark, disturbing tonalities, a rose with thorns that recalls gothic tales. The bottle as you can see is one of a kind. Numbered editions from 1 to 30, dated and monogrammed. A unique bottle, engraved by hand, with platinum enameling. Just beautiful...

Perfume Bottles Coup de Foudre: What Has Caught My Heart Recently

Usually I'm not that taken with the outer appearance of a given perfume; the bottle is the dress on a beautiful form and it's the flesh I'm after. But I allow myself some oculoplania from time to time. These vehicles of dreams, pictured below, manage to instigate a desire to supervene substance for form; in some happy cases the two converge harmonically, to everyone's delight.
