And of course I have a draw which will let you sample if you hadn't had the chance in the past the re-issued Eau d'Epices before anyone else!
via pinterest/asri flickr |
The specifics: I have 4 deluxe samples for the international readership (Europe, Canada, rest of the world) and 10 deluxe samples for the USA one. Please enter a comment posting your impressions regarding spicy scents and/or Tauer's line and you're eligible. Draw is open till Wednesday midnight and winners will be announced sometime on Thursday.
You know what to do. Keep them coming! I want to read them all.
I'm a sucker for both spices and Andy Tauer's creations so count me in.
ReplyDeleteOf course I am!
ReplyDeleteAnd so glad to see you posting :-)
The more spice the better! Bring it on! Cinnamon, saffron, ginger, anise - I love spice. I've never tried Eau d'Epices, but I'd sure love to, based on how much I like Andy's other perfumes.
ReplyDeleteI love spicy scents and I love Andy's work, but somehow I haven't tried this yet. I guess I need to order his little sample box again, since I have also missed several of his more recent scents.
ReplyDeleteI love cinnamon, cardamom and saffron in scents. My favorite Tauer fragrance is L'air du desert marocain. I would love the chance to try Eau d'epices! Thanks, I'm in the US.
ReplyDeleteCinnamon and spices almost always play a big part in my favorite perfumes. I am also a fan of Tauer but to date have only tried Pentachord and Incense Rose as samples.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you! I am in the US. Gail
ReplyDeleteI am very curious about this. I just ordered my first Tauer discovery pack, after having read about his perfumes (masterpieces?) for years. I can't wait to smell what all the fuss is about and would love to try this as well. I adore spicy and woodsy perfumes. Add vanilla and I'm in heaven (I usually do this myself with ecco bella vanilla lotion or tihota). A few spicy perfumes I admire: chaos, organza indecence, trayee, tam dao. Thank you for the draw! I am in the US.
ReplyDeleteI love Eau d'Epices and my sample has run out so would love to win one. I found this scent a bit difficult on my first two wears but I sprayed it on my partner and it was heavenly. So then I tried it on myself and I loved it as well. Sometimes with Andy's perfumes it can take a couple of wears to really get them - they are quite complex. This is definitely a spice bomb (and nothing like the comparatively wimpy Viktor & Rolf namesake).
ReplyDeleteCount me in please, I need more spice for this hellish winter. And what better than a Tauer spice :) Thanks for the draw!
ReplyDeleteSpices are my favorite type of fragrance. I've been dying to try the Tauer roses and I wasn't aware of this scent but would love to sample it. Thank you for the draw.
ReplyDeleteI've not yet fallen for a Tauer, but I liked Rose Incense most.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the EU,
ty
Ooh, I love spicy scents and Tauer perfumes are genius. Hope to sample this. Im in the US.
ReplyDelete"A hardcore spicy wonder" That got me and the fact it's Andy Tauer. This has to be wonderful I'm in the US.
ReplyDeleteI have a number of Andy Tauer's fragrances which I wear frequently and love. As for spice, bring it on. thanks for the generous draw. I'm in the U.S.
ReplyDeleteI love Tauer scents and would love a chance to get a sample of this one. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've tried L'ADDM and Miriam. I think they're both exceptional in their own right. I'm so impressed with Tauer's work. Thanks for the opportunity to try another one. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI adore spices and spicy scents so I'd love to smell Andy's take on them... I'm a big fan of L'Air du Desert Marocain :D I'm in Europe.
ReplyDeleteI generally like spices in perfume, but it really depends on context. I'm in the US
ReplyDeleteThis would be a cheerful way to end a really nasty winter.
ReplyDeletePlease count me in!
love andy tauer. such a sweet soul. been using his rose scent all winter. like a burst of sunshine. would love win a sample. thank you!
ReplyDeleteI love all things spicy (food and otherwise!!!) and I am a huge Tauer fan. I have only sampled Phi and Noontide Petals! I hope to win
ReplyDeleteHello from South Carolina. I really love spicy perfumes such as Botrytis, and I'll bet Mr. Tauer's is even deeper, richer, and spicier. I have even worn Old Spice! Hope I win a sample. Thanks, Judy
ReplyDeleteI love complex scents which often are full of spices.I admire Andy Tauer and his work.Would be great to join the draw,Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for spicy-sweet scents--anything spicy always appeals to me because they make me feel warm and remind me of foods I like. I've only tried a couple of Tauer scents, but Une Rose Chypree is one of the few rose scents that I really like, so that's definitely a sign that I should try more from the line!
ReplyDeleteYum! Eau d'Epice is a great fragrance for a chilly end of winter draw. Andy knows warm and bright like nobody else!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE spicy perfumes! My favorite spice is perhaps anise but I love them all, clove, cardamom, cinnamon, pepper!! <3 I have tried only a few Tauer scents. Noontide Petals didn't really impress me, but I'm not very fond of aldehydes. L'Air du Desert Marocain left me wanting more, more spice, deeper amber, more warmth... ultimately I wasn't satisfied. But I love Lonestar Memories, that is one mighty leather, warm, dark, harsh and intriguing! And I do wonder what a spicy scent by Tauer would be like!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'm in Europe!
ReplyDeleteI love almost all Andy´s scents and own L´Air du Dessert Marrocaine. I am sure that his spicy creation is at least as good as the other ones. Thanks for the drawing!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at orange blossom. That particular note makes me smile spontaneously, and the addition of the spices listed sounds delectable. Cardamom and anise are my two favorites in that category.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently wearing PHI, which I adore and thank Andy for creating.
Please count me in for the draw. I'm in the US.
What a beautiful opportunity! Tauer by itself and my favourite type of aroma - spicy!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for anything with spice in it especially during fall/winte,r and since this winter is never going to end I can always use more spice in my collection! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this fragrance.I do not like too much spice in my food, but in my fragrance..bring it. Please enter me in the draw...Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love Tauer's scents but I seriously hope this does not smell like "Pho" which is a Vietnamese noodle soup because this soup has all the ingredients as shown in the picture above :-) I enjoy "Pho" but not necessarily smell like one. Fingers crossed :P
ReplyDeleteThanks Perfume Shrine!
I'm another lover of L'air du desert marocain, and appreciate warmth and spice in perfume.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed, and many thanks for the opportunity.
Love Tauer perfumes!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried this line, my spicy fragrance is Coco!
ReplyDeleteI usually go for florals but I do like spicy as well.....
I love spicy fragrances and I am so curious about Andy's take, my favorite "une Rose Chyphree" is a bit spicy too,
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for the draw- I'm internatinal
I LOVE spicy scents and never realized it until recently - I have not been lucky enough to try Andy's creations yet but I really want to!! I live in the US.Thank You :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so sad that the local perfume shop that carried Andy Tauer's perfumes closed recently. I was lucky to be able to sample and buy his perfumes locally. My favourite is Une Rose Chypree which smells like a real chypre. Tauer perfumes blend traditional classic perfume structures and folmulae with a modern twist. That's why I like and admire them so much.
ReplyDeleteNo one does spicy like Andy. Please enter me in the draw.
ReplyDeleteI remember trying it and liking it a while ago. When I was looking for a bottle I noticed it was discontinued. Now I would love to try it again. Thanks. I live in the US.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried this perfume by Andy Tauer. Yet I adore spicy scents and spicy anything for that matter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this draw. I am in the US.
I love Andy work so much that it was my first niche purchase. The bottle in question was LDDM. Since then i have tried LM.
ReplyDeleteReally hoping to win this sample.
Andy Tauer taught me how to love roses which before him, I used to despise. I have never sampled Eau d'Epices but would love to do so.
ReplyDeleteI am in the USA. Thanks!
I live in the USA, and quite enjoy spicy scents. Count me in
ReplyDeleteI love spice but never tried a Tauer. Ciao from Amsterdam.
ReplyDeleteOh spices... as a big fan of L'air du desert marocain and une Rose Chypre i am looking forward to trying this. Thx for the draw.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I love spices - I live on the Balkans!!! Well, that's not a guarantee but I should face it - my life is full of spice: ginger tea first thing in the morning, oatmeal with cinnamon and nutmeg for breakfast, turmeric, pepper and curry in most of my lunches, cinnamon (again) in the coffee, cloves in the wine...
ReplyDeleteAnd two aromatic favorites - Feminite du Bois and L'Air du Desert Marocain!!! I fell in love with Frederic Malle's Noir Epices the last September and I hope I'll have the chance to get at least a decant someday...
Thank you for the draw! EU located.
This is one of a few scents that I haven't tried from the Tauer's collection. Please enter me!
ReplyDeleteSpice in perfumes isn't my favorite type but some of them are good on my skin. Among Andy's perfumes floral ones work for me better but I keep trying them all.
I love spicy scents :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried this Tauer, but would love to! His Une Rose Chypre made me realize I like spice in perfumes! Esp enjoy cinnamon, cardamon and bay leaf. I live in Canada, and since it's still -30 in March, we need all the spice we can get!
ReplyDeleteI live in the U.S. Most of my favorite fragrances are on the spicy/woody side of the spectrum and Andy's scents are always so interesting, so I am sure I would love it. Thanks for the draw.
ReplyDeleteI love spice in perfumes and I'd have to say that my favorite by Andy Tauer is L'Air du Desert Marocain. Thank you for this drawing! I am in the US.
ReplyDeletePhi was my first sniff of Andy Tauer, and I adored it! I have some l'Air du desert marocain and just fell for Incense Rose. I just can't wait to try every single Tauer! So I hope I'll win! Thank you for this chance, from the EU.
ReplyDeleteAndy Tauer is my favorite perfumer, and this is one of the few of his scents I haven't tried! Thank you so much for the draw, I am in the USA.
ReplyDeleteAndy's incense perfumes are to die for. Incense Rose and Incense Extreme are my favorites. I'd love to be able to try his take on spices. I never heard of Eau d'Epices before.
ReplyDeleteI am in the US. Thanks!!!!
The only Tauer scents I have tried are L'Air du Desert Marocain and Lonestar Memories.
ReplyDeleteI adore spicy scents and would love the opportunity to try this. I am in the US.
I enjoy spice in perfumes especially when it's combined with creamy sandalwood or spicy cedarwood which has it's own kick. My favorites being Eau Sauvage and Hermès classic scent Eau d'Hermès which was composed by the same genius perfumer Edmond Roudnitska. I'd love to be entered to win a sample of Eau d'Epices. Thanks for your generousity. Im in the US.
ReplyDeleteI'm spice addicted person and wish to try Andy's creation
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Tauer is Marocain Pour Elle. I would love to try this one! I like many spicy perfumes, from Bulgari's Omnia to Chanel's Coco:)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Tauer is Marocain Pour Elle. I would love to try this one! I like many spicy perfumes, from Bulgari's Omnia to Chanel's Coco:)
ReplyDeletehello, I am from Italy.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy spicy scents very much, one that I like particularly is Sushi imperiale by Bois1920. I own several of Tauer scents, favourite being Orange Star and of course L'Air du Desert Marocain.
This is one of the top fragrances in the Tauer line! I have always adored this wonderful creation, and would love to enter for a sample of this gorgeous scent! I reside in the EU. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any Tauer scents, but I do like spices, so this sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteI don't lead the most exciting life but deeply spiced scents tap into my persona of international woman of mystery.
ReplyDeleteI would love to enter the draw. I'm on the West Coast of Canada and this damp winter weather is settling in my poor Aussie bones, brrr! I love spices, esp. cardamom and cinnamon, and notes of orange blossom, jasmine, incense, vetiver etc sounds amazing. I haven't tried any Andy Tauer scents yet, my budget does not permit, but I would love to try this.
ReplyDeleteI'm always impressed by the intensity of Tauer's perfumes, there's a generosity about them that goes against the grain of all these wishy washy perfumes!
ReplyDeleteI loved Incense Rose and Une Rose du Khandahar, I'm not sure if it's the inclusion of ambergris in Rose du Khandahar but it has incredible power - perfect for an evening perfume when you want your perfume to have a little more impact.
Would love to try these latest ones
I love spice in perfume (I wore Opium for years), although I dislike anything too heavy with pepper, black or pink. Spicebomb was unbearable, but Roberto Cavalli Oro, which some people describe as quite spicy, seems just beautifully warm and smooth to me. Spice plus orange blossom sounds heavenly. I've won a couple of samples here recently, so I don't know if it would be sporting of me to enter the draw. I will definitely have to order a Tauer sample set one of these days.
ReplyDeleteYou had me at "it's the Dario Argento of spicy colognes". This is exactly what I'm looking for right now.
ReplyDeleteSpicy scents are hit or miss for me. But knowing that the possibility of love always exists, I will never pass up an opportunity to try a new scent. Thanks for the drawing. I'm in the U.S.
ReplyDeleteCaragh girl
Spicy!?! Oh Great Goddess of Fragrance... YES!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI say "bring it on!".
And thank you for the drawing. Florida, USA here.
Hi , I'm in Australia which is just exiting a brutal summer, so some spice might help smooth the way into the cooler seasons. My fave spicey fragrance is Fille en Aiguilles - just wish I knew how to pronounce it! Thanks for the draw.
ReplyDeleteI'm in South Korea. I find Andy's work intriguing and would love to try this one. My favourites in his line are Une Rose Chypree and Noontide Petals, but I also really like Phi, which has a strong cinnamon note on me. Other spices I enjoy in perfume are coriander, cardamom, the beautiful nutmeg in Houbigant's Oranger en Fleurs and the chili in Amouage's Fate.
ReplyDeletesince my most favorite perfume is Kenzo Jungle Elephant, I adore spicy perfume. Never tried Andy Tauers perfumes, so I would be a very happy norwegian if I won.
ReplyDeleteTook my nose and throat a few months to adjust to his desert perfume. Or maybe some of the strength burned down a bit as the bottle breathed a bit. I'm sure the spicy is ultra spicy and would love to try it. Thx
ReplyDeleteHi Helg,
ReplyDeleteLong time since I've tried an Andy. Sounds good.
Still wintery here, spices would be warming ;-)
Thanks
Sofia Durango
I love spicy perfumes, and I have been wanting to try more of Tauer's creations for some time!(I have only tried Orange Star, which was very interesting but not me, like many orange-centric perfumes). Thank you! I am in the US.
ReplyDeleteSpices are one of those things that manage to be both familiar & exotic. Their ability to make the world that bit more interesting is to be valued in any sphere.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried any of Tauer's perfumes. I know. My perfumista license should be revoked. It'd be great to have this as my introduction to his works. I do love spicy perfumes, especially the grand dame Youth Dew. Hard to wear but it's so good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the draw. I'm in Canada.
I love orange notes, especially combined with spices and incense. I would love to be able to try this. I live in the US. Thanks for the draw!
ReplyDeleteArabie Serge Lutens is a great spice perfume and L'Air du Desert Marocain is my favourite from Andy Tauer.
ReplyDeletegrrrr, I have to post as Anonymous when using Blogger because it refuses to recognize my Wordpress ID!
ReplyDeleteI went from zero Tauer FBs to two in two months - Zeta and PHI Une Rose de Kandahar -- good stuff!
I live in the U.S. and thanks for the draw.
~ hajusuuri ~
I do like notes of spices in my perfumes. I especially like them in men's fragrances, as nothing is sexier than a spicy scent on a man in my opinion. I was recently at a niche shop about an hour from where I live trying to find an Andy Tauer fragrance to test, but unfortunately they did not carry any. I am excited for this chance. Thank you
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for all Taueraide fragrances, they literally sweep me off my feet. I love spicy perfumes because they have a little bite to them and the kick sets them apart from other fragrances. I'm excited for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteOoh, spicy scents! I've been searching but haven't found the perfect one for me yet. I haven't tried this one but my husband wears Lonestar Memories. Would love to try this! Thank you for the draw.
ReplyDeleteI love spice in a fragrance. makes me feel sexy and uncommon to wear something spicey and not sweet. I like standing out from the crowd!.
ReplyDeleteI like Bang by Marc Jacobs. I like pepper scent in it.
ReplyDeleteSAW SEE
ReplyDeleteWhat a good timing for the draw because Tauer's Loretta is just on the way....i reside in the US
ReplyDeleteThis is one I have been wanting to sample, being a sucker for "spicies" myself. Andy doesn't pull any punches so I have high expectations for this one.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE spicy scents! I would love to try Andy's version. This is definitely on my list to try. Please include me in the draw for readers in Europe.
ReplyDeleteI adore spicy scents - the oriental concoctions of Serge Lutens are my favourites. But I find spice doesn't always equate to gourmand - spices can be tart, biting, aromatic.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried Andy Tauer's perfumes but I've read his blog:I envy his creativity, dedication and passion for what he does in his life (envy in a good way of course,I wish I was more like him, living my dream, creating...)
ReplyDeleteSpices in perfumes I like a lot but the base is important too and for me it should be floral and feminine and able to connect with the warmth, the sweetness and the "zing" from the spices.
I hope this "spiced water" is like this and its jasmine and orange flower base can carry them perfectly. Let me try it, please.
USA dweller.
I have tried I think half of the Tauer line but not this one. My favourite so far is Rose Incense and I own a full boottle. Not sure about spices in perfumes. Cant remember any that I tried.
ReplyDeleteIm in the EU
I love and own lots of Andy Tauer's perfumes and w.his one. I live in the U.S. and thank you for the opportunity to do so.
ReplyDeleteAndy's fragrances are very special to me, and I love exotic spices in food but also in perfumes. Greetings from Asia.
ReplyDelete0000000h, I do so love Andy's fragrances......there's not one that I've tried that I've felt blahhh about! So please count me in the draw for this one
ReplyDeletecheers
I'm drawn to spicy scents, my favorite being the classic Opium. I haven't settled on a favorite Tauer scent so this may be it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the draw, please count me in. I love spicy scents, being a fan of vintage Opium and some of Villoresi's spicy compositions. It would be fabulous to get to know Eau d'Epices.
ReplyDeleteBest Mia
Love spicy scents, and the dry breezy spiciness of L'Air du Desert Marocain is one of my favourites. Thanks so much for the draw, and please count me in!
ReplyDeleteI usually love spicy scents for their comforting qualities like Magnetic Scent's Untitled No. 2, but Andy's scents are amazing in the way they defy easy categorisation - I feel like my brain is expanding with all the new olfactory information! So I would love to try Eau d'Epices. I am in Europe. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI usually love spicy fragrances... but never tried any from this designer. Would love to do it though :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite so far in the Tauer line is Incense Extreme, but I have a feeling I will love Eau d'Epices
ReplyDeleteThe house of Tauer and I have an on-again off-again relationship, but I love my spices.
ReplyDeleteHi Elena! Long time no comment! Love all things spicy from soutzoukakia to OldSpice (first fragrant love) and Noir Epices. Thanks for this chance! From the Tauers I've sampled I really liked Zeta.
ReplyDeleteI love everything spicy and I find Andy Tauer's work fascinating. I don't always love his scents but I can always appreciate the artistry behind them. I also find that if a perfume with a lot of spice seems too harsh or masculine for me, layering it with a basic vanilla, like Ateliers Vanille Insensee or Indults Tihota sort of rounds it out and makes it much more wearable. Thanks for the draw, I live in the USA.
ReplyDeleteLove the Dario Argento analogy. Makes me want to smell the Lucio Fulci of rose perfumes, the Jodorowsky of vetiver and the Werner Herzog of oud, hehe.
ReplyDeleteI haven't dabbled in spicy perfumes too much, but loved l'air du desert marocain. I definitely like spicy perfumes paired with a hefty plank of wood, but the jasmine and orange blossom in Eau d'Epices make it sound ideal for a hot summer night.
Please count me in to your draw, and greetings from Great Britain.
I have always love spicy perfumes and as for Tauer's line I'm pretty fascinated by most of his creations because they are unique and distinctive in their own ways. I can't quite relate most of them to any other perfume that I have tested or worn which is amazing!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I haven't tried just all Andy's perfumes, I love and appreciate his work. I have not tried Eau d’épices. Some of my favorites are L'Air du Désert Marocain and its opening with spices tipical for Maghreb region. I love Orange Star a lot but also Andy's newer perfumes like Miriam, PHI and especially Noontide Petals.Thank you for this
ReplyDeletegiveaway.I'm in the EU.
International here: I tested a few of Tauer´s scents some time ago and found them to be very interesting..I don´t have many spicy scents but am always interested in "broadening my horizons", scentwise.
ReplyDeleteI'm from the US. I'm a big fan of Tauer's Carillon Pour un Ange and Incense Rose, and I need to try more Tauers!
ReplyDeleteHello Elena, my first time commenting on here, but this draw has really prompted me to stop being so shy and officially de-lurk! (Please be gentle with me...).
ReplyDeleteI love spice-laden fragrances. I recently went to a great deal of trouble to procure the Andy Tauer discovery set (10mls each of Incense Rose, Une Rose Chypree, and L'Air du Desert Marocain) - I live in the Southern Balkans, in Montenegro, and my boss luckily enough lives in Geneva so I was able to get the set delivered to his address and he brought it down last week....
Anyway, I am slowly getting acquainted with them, only having read about these perfumes on Fragrantica and Basenotes, and boy, am I in love! Une Rose Chypree has really surprised me, because it seems as if Andy has tried to construct a chypre using an accord that relies on dusty dry Mediterranean herbs and spices such as bay and cinnamon, rather than relying on oakmoss - there is oakmoss there I believe, but to my nose, the bitter/resin element in the axis relies more on those pungent herbs/spices than oakmoss for the slinky, green, slightly astringent feel. It is astounding, and very, very spicy. Incense Rose and LÁDDM are also spectacular I should add! I would love to try the Eau DÉpices, pretty please! I am curious about that one too. Choosing three of his fragrances for the discovery set was agonizing, let me tell ya!
Other spice fragrances I enjoy are: Omnia (gentle saffron-cardamon accord built on a man's aftershave note) - I wear this one to bed, it is so gentle, un-sweet, and like a cup of chai, Chanel Coco (but I have to mentally commit to it, because it is an all-day, all-encompassing affair), L'Heure Bleue (gentle anice and cloves), Mitsouko (a pan of poisonous peaches simmering in formaldehyde spiked with cloves), Serge Lutens Fille En Anguilles (Christmas spiced wine and pine), Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay (very gently spiced but in an unsweet English fashion that is bracing rather than cloying), and Aromatics Elixir (well....where to start with THAT witchy brew).
Sorry for the essay -what can I say, it's my first time and once you get me started, you can't get me "stopped". Love your site, by the way - I have learned so much going through your archives.
Spiced perfumes, Nice! To me, the best spiced perfume by far (though it has much more than just spices) is, of course, Andy Tauer’s L'Air Du Désert Marocain, but I love many many more of Andy’s scents (Incense Rosé and Incense Extrême are beautiful). Another excellent spiced perfume is Creed's Baie de Genievre… in addition to juniper berries, it has cinnamon leaves and clove (the word “cinnamon” was originally included in the scent’s name, as it was called “Baie de Genievre Feuilles de Canneliers”); it’s not a very well known scent, but it’s wonderful. Thanks for the draw Elena :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm crazy about spicy scents and Eau d'Epices sounds wonderful. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteIn the U.S. here. I love spicy, probably my favorite perfume genre. My all-time favorite perfume is YSL Opium, just spicy gorgeousness! I've only tried one in Andy Tauer's line, Incense Rose--and I love it! I'm very eager to try more of his line. Please enter me in the draw! Thank you!
ReplyDeletein high school i outgrew Love's Rain scent and fell in love with a fragrance called Maroc. yum. i also loved Opium, LouLou and, to a lesser extent, Cinnabar. i was a very fragrant 15 year old.
ReplyDeletethese days i adore Safran Troublant, DzongKa and Tam Dao. And Mr. Tauer. here in the U.S., i am dying to give this a try.

ReplyDeleteI'm a perfume beginner and have been surprsed to find myself drawn to spicy scents! I used to like the typical fruity florals, but now I really enjoy the dimensions that spices add. I'm in Canada.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your blog -- I've learned so much from it so far!
Jaime
Spicy scents are one of my favorites. I have great respect and admiration for Andy Tauer and his incredible gifts. L'Air du Desert Marocain is a personal favorite. I am enraptured with star anise--my parrots have pieces of them in their fresh mix and the aroma is exquisite. Any scent with spice and/or incense is a must-try for me!
ReplyDeleteThanks for having a draw! I am a big fan of Andy Tauer and glad to hear Eau d'Epices will again be available, it is one of the ones I don't own. Hope I win! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love spicy perfumes and am very curious to give this one a try. I have never tried this line but would love to!
ReplyDeleteI am quite a fan of Tauer's artistic work, with my still enjoying Lonestar and L'air du Desert Marocain. Living in the USA I would greatly enjoy sampling the reintroduction of Eau d'Epices.
ReplyDeleteI love spicy perfumes and I would love to experience Tauer's work.
ReplyDeleteI'm always excited to try out a new spicy scent- bring on the spice rack!
ReplyDeleteFor me, florals without at least a touch of spice miss the mark. Half and half is a good proportion in my book, or even mostly spice with just a touch of floral. I'd be interested to try this.
ReplyDeleteI love spicy scents and I would love to try a Tauer perfume. I am in the UK.
ReplyDeleteI spent my teens drenched in Cinnabar so definitely a fan of spicy. I am also a big fan of Tauer perfumes! Thank you for the drawing. I live in the US.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried anything for Tauer's offerings, so I'm game. I love spices in my food, cardamon, anise, vanilla, coriander... and the one spicy perfume I have loved most was Kenzo Jungle (elephant bottle). I'm in Europe.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
OK-Will you add my name to the draw? Now I am going backwards to read the article! I am in Canada,
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Carole
I really love Loretta and would love to try Eau d'Epices. I am in the US. Thanks,
ReplyDeleteYes yes, spice please! Cinnamon, coriander, pepper, cumin, anise, saffron, nutmeg, cocoa! Egoiste is a favorite, but I wear lots of fragrances with spice notes. But I never tried a Tauer fragrance... something to look forward to!
ReplyDelete--Ann
The only Tauer fragrance I have tried was Incense Rose - a sample from a friend. So far, I haven't found any stores that carry any of his scents, so I would love a sample. We are going to Europe in May (Netherlands, hopefully Paris, probably Athens, then Iceland on the way home) and I will be doing some hunting. I live in Alberta Canada, where the temperature has been in the
ReplyDelete-20 C range for the last week. With snow flurries! Nice warm spices would be wonderful!
I love spicy fragrances! Thanks for the draw!
ReplyDeleteI love the animalic sauciness of Tauer's Orange Star, another one of his spicy scents. I find in my old age I have become quite a spice girl: Opium, Theorema, Cinnabar, Black Cashmere -- you name a spice scent, I have it and wear it. Please enter me in the draw. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had the pleasure of sampling any Tauer scents yet, but I love spices. Please consider me for this giveaway, I am in the U.S.
ReplyDeleteI haven't found a spicy scent that wasn't either too peppery or too sweet and I haven't sampled many Tauers. The two I have tried were Lonestar Memories (scrubber for me) and Loretta (divine) so I really haven't developed an opinion about his line. I really need to test more.
ReplyDeleteI am in the US and would love to be entered in the draw. Thanks!
Spicy fragrances have to be very carefully balanced to make it into my fragrance wardrobe. There have been several good ones I have been lucky enough to come across though. Mr. Tauer's is not one I have tried yet, but I would very much love to based on his other scents! I am in the US.
ReplyDeleteLove the spicy. My favorite Tauers are L'air du Desert, Pentachord Verdant, and Lonestar Memories.
ReplyDeleteDagney Canada
I'd just gotten the Tauer sample set and am having fun trying them out. Big love for Une Rose Chypre and Une Rose de Kandahar, so distinctive and lovely. Very exciting chance to try Eau d`Epices!
ReplyDeleteOh! Forgot to say I`m in Canada, in case I get a stroke of luck
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to my post?:( Just disappeared? I wrote about how Body Shop used to have single note perfume oils in different spices and how mixing them would create unique and lovely spicy scents.... and the beauty of Dubai based perfume oils in different spices...
ReplyDeleteMy post (like the person before me, seems to have been swallowed up by cyber space too...)
ReplyDeleteI love spices, in perfume and also in my surroundings. That's why I love winter time, when there is an abundant scent of cinnamon, cardamom, clove and nutmeg in my household. Thank you for the opportunity of getting a sample of this fantastic perfume! I am in the UK.
Oh I'm in Cyprus by the way...
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for posting and entering the draw. I enjoyed seeing your replies.
