(I have normal skin btw) Then again, it does singe my nose hairs on the blotter. So...
I got quite a bit of the violet and that helped. No leather though *sigh*

No need to say this, but you're better off NOT liking pricey Perfumeshrinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06222733129203280662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3792393342962796253.post-54736105023360046772011-05-12T14:44:03.827+01:002011-05-12T14:44:03.827+01:00Sharyl,

That and well, the rugged good looks. :-)

LL is an interesting outfit: they have things that annoy (me at least) and things that please (me at least). I think it's a fun game to play if one is smart and cognisant enough as you obviously are ;-)
Can't say I loved French Lover or Outrageous: something was too sharp. The LL version is butch too, yet it doesn't turn me off. Maybe it's the style one expects; I had loaded expectations from FL having Perfumeshrinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06222733129203280662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3792393342962796253.post-76572519430666626032011-05-11T05:06:09.799+01:002011-05-11T05:06:09.799+01:00I'm not much of a Le Labo fan (except, perhaps...I'm not much of a Le Labo fan (except, perhaps, for Aldehydes 44, but I'd still rather have Vega at that price point). Nor am I an automatic fan of woody fragrances, though I love Bois des Iles and Dolce Vita and Champagne de Bois.

So I'm not searching this out. I'm with Wordbird on this one: give me Sam Elliott, please!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3792393342962796253.post-62805590363440912452011-05-10T20:31:17.105+01:002011-05-10T20:31:17.105+01:00Sam Elliot... I also detected the iris and violet, but it was definitely the ambrox that eventually made it too screechy. Iris and spiky wood on me.

Luckily, on another person in our group it was much nicer. The cardamom was more prominent and the ambrox was less so. melisand61https://www.blogger.com/profile/12802652658028346558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3792393342962796253.post-59964352638801519212011-05-09T21:25:53.664+01:002011-05-09T21:25:53.664+01:00Elena,
As always, love reading your wonderful blog...Elena,
As always, love reading your wonderful blog. I love several Le Labo fragrances already - Iris 39, Labdanum 18, Rose 3l - and am always interested in what they might come up with next. Also have been a devoted fan of Sam Elliot for a very long time - not only his machismo and rugged looks, but I also adore his very deep and distinctive voice.Sharylnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3792393342962796253.post-9633290078882127262011-05-09T20:02:18.290+01:002011-05-09T20:02:18.290+01:00Thanks for the review! I already own and love Oud 27, which is obviously also very woody. I wonder, too, how it competes with, say Malle's Bois d'Orage/French Lover? That seems to play up more the woody amber idea, so I'm curious. I'll be carefully Jaredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09424300101969094900noreply@blogger.com
